Bio

Dave Douglas centers his attention upon the industrial markets of South King, Pierce, Thurston and Lewis Counties. Since 1979, he has developed expertise in marketing industrial / business parks, freestanding industrial property, tenant representation, land acquisitions, and surplus property disposition. A significant portion of his practice involves “build to suit” projects for distribution and manufacturing companies.

Dave is an “Active Industrial” designee of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He has served as Education Council Director, Vice Chair for Specialty Practice Boards (SPB), Regional Vice President, and multiple terms on the Board of Directors. Douglas chaired the Membership Standards Committee and the SPB Task Force; he has served on several other committees and task forces, and was Washington State Chapter President in 1995. He is a designee of the Commercial, Investment Real Estate Institute (CCIM). Douglas is active locally in the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), the Transportation Club of Tacoma and the Washington Public Ports Association.

Dave’s community involvement includes Board service for the SIOR Foundation, Tacoma – Pierce County Chamber of Commerce (Executive Committee, Vice Chair, Business & Trade), Lakewold Gardens, Tacoma Art Museum (Past President, Activities Council, Co-chair Community Campaign), Tacoma Area Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities, St. Patrick’s Parish Pastoral Council, Boy Scouts of America Pacific Harbors Council (District Commissioner, Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and Den Leader), and coached youth league basketball and baseball. As a youth, he earned the Eagle Scout award; in college he played football, competed in track and field and is Sigma Chi Fraternity member.
