Stephen W. Yndo, is a native of San Antonio and a 1985 graduate of Texas A&M University.
Steve has been active in San Antonio commercial real estate since 1985. In 2002, after many years with Peacock Realtors and then NAI/Colglazier Properties, Steve founded Yndo Commercial Real Estate Co. in order to better allow him to merge his experience in both user real estate and development. His development experience includes the re-development/adaptive re-use of a 38,000 SF former 1920’s warehouse facility into the King William Lofts, the 66 unit residential conversion of the former St. Benedict’s Hospital in the King William Historic District, the re-development of a 1940’s auto dealership into retail/office/live-work space, and multiple other user re-hab/conversions as well as in-fill development.
Steve is bilingual (English/Spanish), received his designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) in 1993, became an Active Industrial Member of the Society of Office and Industrial Realtors (SIOR) in 1996, and is a past Chairman of the NAI Industrial Council, as well as a past recipient of its Industrial Council Leadership Award.
Steve is a former President ‘03/’05 of the Board of Directors of the King William Association, a former long time President of the board of San Antonio’s Southtown Urban Main Street Program, served on the Downtown Advisory Board for the City of San Antonio, and is a past board member of the CCIM San Antonio/South Texas Chapter and the board of governors for the Commercial Investment Division of the San Antonio Board of Realtors. Steve is also a former executive board member for the Central Texas Chapter of the Congress for New Urbanism and past District Council Chair for the Urban Land Institute - San Antonio.
