Vic Bruno, SIOR has been serving the real estate needs of business and industry since 1973.
He was first inducted into membership in SIOR in 1978 as a Salesman Affiliate Member and became an Active Industrial Member in 1980. He has served three terms on the SIOR Board of Directors, one term as Regional Vice President covering Texas, New Mexico, Arizona Colorado and Utah, one term on the Executive Committee and Nominating Committee and was a key figure in resurrecting the SIOR Professional Standards Committee serving first as vice chairman then chairman. He is a co-author of the SIOR Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice and the SIOR Ethics Curriculum for which he served as a Senior Instructor making presentations on behalf of the Society in the U.S. and Canada. Vic also served a three year term on the SIOR Education Foundation as Trustee.
In New Mexico, he is a founder, past president and Realtor of the Year of the Commercial Association of Realtors - NM and founder and Chairman of Trustees of Real Estate Education Foundation. He was instrumental in forming the New Mexico Chapter of SIOR. He is a past nominee of the New Mexico Ethics in Business Award and is a recipient of the Lights of Liberty Award presented by the Rio Grande Foundation, a public policy research institute.
Vic's career covers nearly every aspect of commercial real estate brokerage in the industrial and office disciplines including property and asset management, receiverships, leasing, sales, exchanges, consultative brokerage and general consulting.
He is often selected to team with national real estate firms for requirements in New Mexico. A recent example involved site selection for a 218,000 sf technical support center for Hewlett Packard.
