Scott Hughes has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience involving the disciplines of brokerage, joint ventures, development, and asset management. The cumulative transactions/projects have an aggregated value in excess of $1 billion. He has consistently won national brokerage awards for production achievements serving both private and public investors.

Scott’s education includes an MBA from Royal Roads University in Victoria, the commercial real estate designations AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute, equivalent to the MAI in the U.S.) from the Appraisal Institute of Canada, CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute in Chicago, and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) from Washington, DC.

Scott has been mandated to sell and/or acquire some of Edmonton’s hallmark assets which have included development land (land assembly/pre-leasing of five premiere business parks), apartments, industrial buildings, office complexes and retail centres. In addition, he has been mandated to secure office, industrial and retail lease space for some of Edmonton’s premiere firms. Scott has structured successful joint venture deals, developed industrial, retail and multi-family developments and provided asset management services in all asset classes on either a one-off or portfolio basis. Scott’s diverse skill set provides a strong business acumen in assisting clients/organizations with their real estate needs.

Community Involvement
Scott is active in Edmonton’s community providing business and real estate expertise to not-for-profit organizations. He has been a key player in social housing initiatives, working with the Province to ensure ethical and transparent board governance practices, and providing workable housing solutions for those in low income or homeless situations. In addition, he is a board member of the Neighbour Centre.
