Bio

Steve Kapp joined Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank in 2007 as one of the founding Partners of the firm’s Hayward office. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for over 12 years as a broker and Partner with NAI BT Commercial. Prior to that Steve worked for 7 years as an industrial developer for Catellus Development Corporation and Santa Fe Pacific Realty Corporation in San Francisco.

Extensive expertise in the leasing and sales and development of R&D, industrial and office properties in the San Francisco East Bay has allowed Steve to successfully advise his clients on over 500 lease and sale transactions. Since 2003, he has held a dual industrial and office specialist certification with the Society of Office and Industrial Realtors (SIOR); the country’s leading commercial real estate professional organization.
Steve has represented major institutional investors such as Principal Financial Group, The RREEF Funds, TA Realty, Biomed Realty Trust, Invesco, Ellis Partners, and Legacy Partners. On the tenant representation side, a partial list of clients includes representing Abbott Laboratories, Abaxis, Solta Medical, Unigen, Agilent, Southern Wine & Spirits, and Sysco Foods.

As a tenant representative, Steve has negotiated transactions on behalf of Dow Corning, Johnson Controls, Abbott Laboratories, Agilent, Abaxis, Cell Genesys, DeVry, Convergys, Sysco Foods, Hitachi, and Tech Data Corporation.
