James A. Dunham is the responsible broker of Jim Dunham & Associates, a diversified real estate company and has been in the real estate industry since 1987. In addition to brokering commercial, development and investment properties and opportunities, Jim supervises the activities of his real estate divisions. Jim holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, a designation held by six percent of commercial brokers worldwide and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR) designation, a designation held by less than two percent of commercial brokers worldwide.
Jim holds membership in the National Association of Realtors®, the South Dakota Association of Realtors®, the Realtor® Association of the Sioux Empire, the MN/SD CCIM Chapter, the National CCIM Chapter and the National SIOR Chapter. Jim’s current involvement includes being a member of the National Association of Realtors®; a member of the South Dakota Association of Realtors® Professional Standards Committee; a member of the Homebuilders Association of the Sioux Empire and a member on their Government Affairs Committee; a member and past President of the South Dakota MultiHousing Association. Jim is a trained Mediator of real estate disputes, as awarded by the National Association of Realtors®. Jim has been a member of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce since 1987.
In addition to being a member or chairperson of numerous task forces, some of Jim’s past involvements include being a past Chairperson of the National Association of Realtors® Real Property Operations committee; a committee member of the Realtors® Commercial Alliance; a past Chairperson of the Grievance and Professional Standards Committee of the Realtors® Association of the Sioux Empire, member of the South Dakota Association of Realtors® Regional Grievance Committee, a former State director and a past member of the South Dakota Association of Realtors® Board of Directors, a past Ambassador of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, member of the Economic Development Committee of Downtown Sioux Falls, member and past Chairperson of the city of Sioux Falls Public Parking Facilities Board and a past member of the National Association of Realtors® Commercial Advisory Committee. Jim is a graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls, an extensive leadership program offered by the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce.
Jim resides in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota metro area with his wife, Linda. The couple have two children, Ashley and Elizabeth; six grandchildren, Haylie, Raegan, Harper, Olivia, Maxwell and Stella; and a cat named Curious George.
