OVERVIEW

SIOR Global is seeking to fill five (5) Regional Director positions, each serving for a 2-year term (2025-2027). Regional Directors play a key role as the main volunteer liaison between chapter leaders and SIOR Global leadership.

  • SIOR Mid-Atlantic Region | Maryland/DC/NVA, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania, Virginia
  • SIOR Northwest Region | Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington
  • SIOR Southeast Region | Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Memphis, Middle & East Tennessee
  • SIOR Southwest Region | Austin/Central TX, DFW/North Texas, El Paso Southwest, Houston/Gulf Coast, New Mexico, Oklahoma, San Antonio/South TX

Candidates may only apply for the region in which their chapter belongs.

SCOPE & IMPACT

Leadership Development

• • Attend and actively participate in Chapter Leadership Council meetings and in the Leadership Conference
  • Promote SIOR and assist with recruitment of new members
  • Serve as Admissions Chair for areas within their region that do not fall under a chapter’s jurisdiction
  • Have final sign-off on GFI thresholds for chapters in their region

Communications

• • Attend and actively participate in monthly Regional Director calls
  • Conduct bi-monthly calls with chapter leadership
  • Complete a Regional Report on the status of chapters in their region

Events

• • Facilitate the discussion and planning of regional and/or sub-regional conferences

Travel

• • Attend the SIOR Global Conferences
  • Attend one event per chapter and one regional event per term
  • Governance directed chapter and regional travel, as needed

Looking Ahead

• • Recruit prospective candidates for leadership from within their region, including for the Regional Director position
  • Following term as Regional Director, serve on the Nominating Committee (2-year term)

• Candidates must be active SIOR designees and be an actively practicing commercial real estate broker, agent, or a manager of brokers and/or agents.
• Candidates must be available for an in-person interview on Monday, May 5th at the Spring 2025 Event in Las Vegas, NV.
