Volunteer Opportunity Details

OVERVIEW

SIOR Global is seeking its 2024-2026 Treasurer to serve for a 2-year term. A first-term Treasurer may be re-elected to serve for one additional 2-year term. Candidates interested in the position must be able demonstrate the following:

• • Interest in the future of CRE brokerage and a commitment to discuss/address the impact to SIOR
  • Ability to look at issues from different perspectives
  • Willingness to ask and address tough questions regarding SIOR’s future
  • Wherewithal to set aside personal, company, or chapter issues or biases and make decisions based solely on what is in the best interest of SIOR
  • Ability to be an impactful communicator and consensus builder with a desire to find common ground

SCOPE & IMPACT

• • Serve as a member of SIOR’s 15-person Board of Directors and as a member of the Governance Committee
  • Participates in all Board activities, meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • Works with CEO & Chief Financial Officer to ensure that detailed financial reports are made available to the Board of Directors on a timely basis
  • Assists CEO & CFO in preparing & presenting the annual budget to the Board of Directors for their approval
  • Willingness to travel to conferences and other Board and/or Board Committee activities as needed
  • Examines, discusses, and votes on motions that require Board approval
  • Willingness to recruit new members on behalf of SIOR
