OVERVIEW
Member groups form organically to represent the interests of their respective constituencies and help develop tailored value propositions that drive ROI as well as positively impact recruitment and retention efforts. Member Group Steering Committee members advocate for and drive initiatives and programming for their member group.
DESCRIPTION
A closed group for members who are not affiliated with a large global firm or network, where a network is defined as one that provides private networking opportunities, events, and conferences for affiliated-only members and requires members to pay dues or franchise fees. Firms/networks with offices in more than three (3) U.S. states
are excluded.. The group is led by a Chair and Vice-Chair. The purpose of the Independent Brokerage Group ("IBG") is to create and sustain a network of highly qualified, independent SIOR brokers across the country to collaborate, share information, and enhance business opportunities for its members. The Chair and Vice Chair will perform an annual audit of eligible firms annually by August 31st. The list will be provided to SIOR HQ to be used for the following year.

MEETINGS & PARTICIPATION
Virtual | Monthly calls
Steering Committee members who miss two (2) consecutive virtual meetings or three (3) within the governance year (October to September) will be removed from the Steering Committee due to lack of participation.
