Ben Anderson joined Colliers in the summer of 2020 as an associate with a focus on representing owners and occupiers of industrial real estate in leasing and sales transactions, learning the business from the ground up. Ben works closely with our experienced industrial team members, including Executive Vice Presidents Lang Williams, SIOR, H. Ashton Williamson, MAI, SIOR, and Senior Vice Presidents Ken Benassi, R. Worth Remick, and Chamie Burroughs.
Since joining Colliers, Ben has assisted clients in over 100 sales and leasing assignments totaling more than $100 million in consideration, creating value and savings for businesses both locally and nationally at multiple levels of engagement for advisory, negotiation, and site selection positions. Ben advises both local and institutional level owners and occupants on industrial real estate transactions ranging from low coverage industrial outdoor storage sites (IOS) to larger scale second generation and new industrial developments in the Port of Virginia region.
Ben continues to further his education, experience, and engagement with Colliers professionals through the Emerging Industrial Leaders, Acceleration Program, and by attending industrial conferences with colleagues from various markets around the country. Ben takes great pride in providing the highest level of service to his clients by leveraging his market knowledge, the Colliers platform, and his industrial team’s more than 140 years of experience.
Prior to joining Colliers, Ben graduated from Hampden-Sydney College where he majored in economics and business with a minor in rhetoric. While at Hampden-Sydney, Ben was actively involved with his campus community and served as Student Body President. Ben remains involved with Hampden-Sydney by serving as President of the Young Alumni Council and in spearheading young alumni engagement efforts for the Hampden-Sydney Club of South Hampton Roads.
Ben’s interest in real estate began while completing an internship with HRACRE one summer during college. A lifelong native of Hampton Roads, Ben was born and raised in Smithfield, VA, is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, and currently resides in Norfolk. Ben enjoys anything that will get him outdoors including boating, fishing, golfing, hunting, and watching Green Bay Packers football games at Lambeau Field.
