Scott Hughes has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience involving the disciplines of brokerage, joint ventures, development, and property/asset management. The cumulative transactions and projects have an aggregated value in excess of $1 billion.
Through his career, Scott’s been an agent for the largest private and public commercial real estate brokerages and has achieved national production awards over the years. As a franchisee broker/owner, he’s received the top Commercial Team in Canada Award, the Commercial Team Worldwide Award, and the Broker/Owner of the Year Award.
Scott has been mandated to sell and/or acquire some of Alberta’s hallmark assets, which have included development land, apartments, industrial buildings, office complexes, and retail centres. In addition, he has been mandated to secure or lease office, industrial, and retail space for some of Alberta's premiere firms. Scott has structured successful joint venture deals, redeveloped various asset classes, built new developments, and directed financing and property/asset management services. His diverse skill set provides strong business acumen when assisting clients or organizations with their real estate needs.
As a sports enthusiast, he competed in the Alberta Bodybuilding Championships and completed an Ironman. Scott enjoys working out, mentoring, travelling, and spending time with family and friends, including his ever-energized grandsons.
Scott believes in giving back to the community one works in, offering his assistance in social housing initiatives to facilitate workable housing solutions for those in low-income or homeless situations. He has also worked directly with the Province to ensure transparent board governance practices within Alberta's largest housing crown corporation.
