Terry Hancock, SIOR, is backed by over thirty years of commercial real estate experience and specialization in the acquisition, development and investment of commercial real estate. After graduating from University of Oregon, Terry’s career began in the forest products industry which brought him to Salem in 1986 where he began managing industrial warehousing.
Terry’s passion for people and their space solutions brought him formally to commercial real estate at Prudential Real Estate Professionals (now Berkshire Hathaway) in 2005. Terry founded Hancock Commercial Real Estate in 2008 and has served private and public sector clients since. Some of Terry’s favorite projects include those that require great collaboration across sectors and seeing a project from the ground up. Most recently, legacy transfer projects have been a great source of passion seeing clients achieve succession planning and real estate transfer goals.
With a diverse background in real estate development, investment, financing and construction, Terry brings a unique perspective to the commercial brokerage business and the ability to customize solutions for each client’s specific needs. His commitment to his clients, attention to detail and passion for the commercial real estate business have earned him relationships with leaders in the manufacturing, technology, education, financial, professional services, healthcare, legal and non-profit industries. Terry’s experience and excellence in detail have served him well as he stewards assets through complex market changes.
Terry joined Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) with dual certification in 2025 with an eye toward continual learning, growth and deep industry connections. Throughout his career, Terry has prioritized collaboration and finding the win-win solution with insight, confidentiality and care.
