2023-2025 SIOR Global Board of Directors Member-At-Large

SIOR Global is seeking to fill three (3) Member-At-Large positions on the Board of Directors, each serving for a 2-year term. Current first-term Board Members-At-Large may be re-elected to serve for one additional 2-year term. Candidates interested in the position must be able demonstrate the following:

  • Interest in the future of CRE brokerage and a commitment to discuss/address the impact to SIOR
  • Ability to look at issues from different perspectives
  • Willingness to ask and address tough questions regarding SIOR’s future
  • Wherewithal to set aside personal, company, or chapter issues or biases and make decisions based solely on what is in the best interest of SIOR
  • Ability to be an impactful communicator and consensus builder with a desire to find common ground


  • Serve as a member of SIOR’s 15-person Board of Directors
  • Participate in all Board activities, meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to conferences and other Board activities as needed
  • Examines, discusses, and votes on motions that require Board approval
  • Represents SIOR to chapters and the CRE community
  • Willingness to recruit new members on behalf of SIOR
  • Articulate SIOR’s vision/strategy and publicly support the plan
  • Have a global focus and be committed to growing SIOR’s ranks abroad
  • Focus on making SIOR financially stable while providing necessary resources to produce services and value to the membership
  • Serve a 2-year term on the Nominating Committee following the completion of the 2-year Member At-Large term


While not required, candidates should strive to meet the following recommended qualifications:

  • 5+ years of SIOR service resulting in meaningful contributions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the 5-year strategic plan
  • Experience as chair or vice chair on an SIOR committee, task force, or member group
  • Experience as a chapter leader or regional director a plus
  • Board experience with another organization a plus
In addition to the above, strong candidates will demonstrate one or more of the following skills:

  • Strategic planning experience, either with SIOR or other company/organization
  • Marketing and public relations experience
  • Business administration and/or accounting experience
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including ability to read and comprehend financial statements
  • Budget development/management experience
  • Social media proficiency
