Jerry L. Halsey, Jr. serves as the President and Executive Broker of Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group.
Jerry L. Halsey, Jr. is a graduate of Arkansas State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Insurance. He was licensed as a salesperson in 1986 and received his brokers license in 1990. He sold realestate in Little Rock and Jonesboro through his college career. Jerry farmed with his father from 1992 – 1999. In 2000, Jerry expanded the family business into real estate.
In 2001 he started his own company Halsey Real Estate Investments. In 2003 Jerry partnered with Bruce Burrow and formed Burrow Halsey Realty Group, Inc., and served as CEO & Principal Broker, until mid 2009 when he purchased all of the stock and changed the name to NAI Halsey later changing its name to Halsey Real Estate Inc. Jerry served as CEO & Principal Broker of Halsey Real Estate Inc. until the merger with Thrasher Realty Group in March of 2014.
Jerry enjoys many facets of real estate, from brokerage to development to ownership. His personal experience runs the gamut of the industry, with market-leading experience in retail centers, office buildings, industrial properties, agricultural properties, self-storage facilities, and undeveloped commercial and residential land.
Jerry holds a real estate license in Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri and Alabama. He is noted as a market-leader; whether in education and designation or significant transactions in every category of commercial real estate. As one of only a select number of CCIM and the only SIOR in the market, Jerry is uniquely qualified by virtue of training and experience. He was inducted into the Northeast Arkansas Board of Realtors Hall of Fame in June 2021.
Jerry is a former Commissioner for the Arkansas Building Authority and served as the Chairman of the Jonesboro Metropolitan Area Planning Commission from January 2010 through August 2011. He was a member of the Jonesboro Vision 2030 comprehensive planning advisory commission during its planning phase and the former SIOR President for the Arkansas Chapter. Jerry recently served as Craighead County Coordinator for the Sarah Huckabee Sanders for Governor Campaign.
Furthermore, Jerry currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas State Police Foundation, presides as the President of the Board of Directors for CityYouth Ministries (Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group's Non-Profit Organization of Choice), and acts as the Chairman of the City of Jonesboro PACE Commission. In recognition of his dedication to the field, he was recently appointed to the Real Estate Commission board by Arkansas Governor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
