Sandy G. Shindleman CCIM, SIOR, CIPS, FRICS

Sandy’s designations include CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors), CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) and FRICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Fellow). He is a CCIM senior instructor (since 1980) and has instructed throughout North America, Europe and Asia on behalf of the CCIM Institute. Sandy is currently on the CCIM Scholarship Committee and has also served on numerous CCIM committees including Body of Knowledge, International Affairs, CCIM Board of Directors and President of the CCIM Foundation.
Awarded the Manitoba Business Entrepreneur of the Year and Susan J. Groeneveld, CCIM, Visionary Award, Sandy has lectured at Universities and Colleges. He is an advisor to numerous community groups and spoke in Barcelona on the topic of green development and financing at Urban Land Institute’s annual Barcelona Meeting Point Conference. In 2011 Sandy received the B’nai Brith Canada Award of Merit recognizing significant contributions of exceptional Canadians to their local communities.
Sandy has also written a wide variety of blogs and articles, including “The Retail Landscape in Canada” for Canadian Property Valuation Magazine, the official publication of the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
The family mission statement of “succeeding by helping others succeed” is the cornerstone of his family’s success. Sandy is proud of The Shindleman Aquatic Centre in his home town of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba and of the Winnipeg park dedicated in the name of his late father, Edward Shindleman Park, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
